Naps Grid-Connected Modules
Naps manufactures its solar modules at its own well-established and experienced production units within the EU. Naps uses the highest standards of production and materials to assure the highest quality and power in an attractive and dependable package. In most cases poly-crystalline (multi-crystalline) silicon solar cells are used, though for special orders Naps can also use mono-crystalline cells.
Naps’ large solar modules for grid-connected systems are made of a laminate of low-iron tempered glass (for high light transmission and strength), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) encapsulation and a tough and stable polymer backsheet, together with a rugged yet lightweight aluminium frame. Most of these modules use prism-textured (P type) glass which enhances the module rated power and especially the performance at low sun elevation. Other modules use smooth (S type) glass. For special projects Naps can also supply glass-glass construction modules, where the back surface is glass and the cells are spaced to give some light transmission. All modules for grid-connected use have pre-fitted cables with polarized connectors. Naps grid modules are certificated to the environmental requirements of IEC61215, including the optional high snow load test at 5400 Pa, and the safety standards of IEC61730. They carry a 5 year product warranty and a 10 / 25 year limited power warranty.

Naps solar modules for off-grid systems are mostly made of the same aluminium-framed glass – EVA – polymer backsheet construction as the grid system modules. The so-called 670 series of solar modules have cells with the same double cell interconnects as the larger modules and carry the same 10 / 25 year limited power warranty. Naps also manufactures special stainless steel backed solar modules for boat decks and for other special use and small glass fiber board backed modules for OEM use. Naps is capable of designing and producing custom design solar modules for special systems and equipment.
