Environmental Aspects
1) Annual Electricity Production per Array
2) Energy Payback Time
3) Avoided Carbon Dioxide Emissions
The figures are carefully calculated for:
- The performance of standard Naps 1kWp systems with an 850W inverter
- The optimum case of an unshaded solar array
- Average sunshine and temperatures for each month in the year
- A range of typical sites around the world in both North and South hemispheres
- Naps 'retrofit' mounting systems with a suitable air gap
- The following tilt angles: Roofs: 30° to 45° tilt, Facades: 90° tilt
- Orientation: high figures: facing equator, low figures: facing East or West
Calculations include losses due to module operating temperature, inverter efficiency and limits, average array soiling, module mismatch, cable resistance and diode voltage drop. They do not include losses for below average sunshine, shadows or other factors.
