Energy Payback Time

The number of years of operation to produce more energy than used in the manufacture of the complete system (modules, mountings, cables, inverter) are as follows.

• roof 5 – 10 years
• facade 7 – 14 years

The expected service lifetime of a Naps grid-connected system is of the order of 30 years, perhaps with one change of inverter during that period.
