Display and Output Options of above inverter selection:

  • NE100 Power line modem data output
  • NE400 RS485 data output
  • NE200 RS232 data output
  • NE500 Display Lid

If no data logging or external display is to be used, it is usual to supply the inverter with the Display Lid option, which allows the main data of the system to be displayed (spot values, daily totals and operating status).

If data logging, communications via modem or PC link, or external display is used, then one of the Sunny Boy Control family is used. Our normal practice is to link this to the inverter(s) via an RS485 link, which allows data transmission over long distances.

  • Sunny Boy Control can accept the data from up to 50 inverters.
  • Sunny Boy Control Light can accept the data from up to 20 inverters, but RS485 data communication is not possible with this model.
  • Sunny Boy Control Plus can accept the data from up to 50 inverters, and in addition has 8 analogue inputs for external sensors, plus digital inputs (8) and outputs (8).
