Naps Standard Cathodic Protection Equipment

First we define the requirements of your equipment and solar electricity system output in a specific locations. It is always reliably calculated using an accurate computer simulation. Based on this result, we select the most suitable solar array size, battery bank and, if necessary, a back-up generator.

Naps solar module
Solar electricity systems for cathodic protection regulators NCPC-25 and NCPC-50 are designed using a 125 Watt module.

Specifications of the NP125GK solar module
Nominal voltage 12 V
Nominal power 125 W
Max power current 7.3 A
Max power voltage 17.1 V
Length 1480 mm
Width 670 mm
Weight 10.6 kg

Naps charge controllers
Our main charge controller for cathodic protection systems is the NCC12, which is a modular series of industrial microprocessor-based charge controllers with 2, 4, 6 or 8 solid-state PV array series switches of 30 Amp maximum capacity and 2 x 25 Amp solid-state load switches.

Key features:

  • Three stage series regulation. Switching MOSFETs act as blocking diodes when off.
  • Two line LCD Display and push-button switch user interface
  • Field Adjustable set-points
  • High Volts, Low Volts, Load Cut 1, Load Cut 2 Alarms
  • Temperature Compensation (External sensor)
  • Regulation, Switch and Alarm Status LED's
  • Lightning Protection against induced high voltages

Higher nominal photovoltaic system voltages and currents are possible using Naps programmable charge controller NSCi. NCC11 controller may also be used in smaller cathodic protection systems.

Cathodic protection current regulators
Naps Cathodic Protection Controller NCPC is an automatic output controller for cathodic protection systems, designed espicially for use with solar power supply systems at unattended sites.

  • Solid state PWM switching for high efficiency
  • Capable of operating with any stable DC power source
  • System voltages available 12/24/48 V versions
  • Constant current, constant voltage and half-cell voltage control
  • Interrupt timer and external interrupt input
  • Output current 0-25 A or 0-50 A
